I created this flag from OSB board, luan, and pine lumber. I cut out the stars, stripes and union and stapled and or epoxied them into place. I carved the eagle, rifle, and Holy Bible from pine with multiple power, and hand tools. Back in 2019-2020, I was desparately trying to find some way of continuing my art without permanently ruining my hands. I simply couldn't carve with the chainsaw for 50+ hours a week anymore. I was experimenting with these wood carvings when the 2020 election was stolen. Like many millions of Americans I desparately needed to work off some aggression and this is one of a handful of patriotic and sometimes a bit comical wall art objects that I made during that regrettable period of American history.
